We as Flying Broom (a women's organization working
for the empowerment of Turkish women since 1996) supporting the
Campaign for Abolition of all Misogynic Gender Based legislation &
Islamic Punitive Laws inIran.
Since we believe that women in the world are suffering from the
male-oriented system we know that women's solidarity in any movement,
campaign, project or activity is one of the most powerful tools that we
have and will have in our struggle.
Not only the Islamic
legislation of Iran takes the lives of many women in the world
today.
The ones that we do not have today together with us such as Zahra
Kazemi, Shahgol, GŸldŸnya Tšren (killed by her relative due to the so
called 'customs'), Þemse Allak (also from Turkey) and many other women
are the ones who could not escape from the burdens of enslaving laws,
traditions, conservative mentalities and men.
We are supporting the campaign most willingly and hope that we
eradicate all kinds of unequal laws, legislations, punishments ,
discrimination, violence against women.
